Conical / Nasal Helmet — 10th–11th Century (Iconic 1066 Style)
A faithful reconstruction of the composite nasal helm widely used across Europe from c. 950–1100 AD. This is the style famously depicted in the Bayeux Tapestry, worn by English, Norse, Continental and Slavic warriors during the events of 1066 and beyond.
Unlike later spangen-helms, this piece uses a simple riveted overlapping joint, a historically accurate method chosen by smiths of the period when reinforcing bands were not required.
