About Medieval Tent Store

At Medieval Tent Store, we don’t just sell tents we preserve history. Every piece we create is inspired by the craftsmanship, creativity, and character of centuries past. Our goal is simple yet meaningful: to revive the artistry of traditional tent-making and bring the charm of medieval, Viking, and Napoleonic eras into the modern world.

We take pride in building tents that tell stories stories of travelers, warriors, festivals, and royal celebrations. When you step beneath our canvas, you’re not just finding shelter; you’re stepping into history.

Our Story – From Passion to Craftsmanship

What started as a fascination with medieval architecture and ancient craftsmanship soon grew into a mission to recreate history through design. We saw a gap between mass-produced tents and the authentic experience reenactors and event organizers desired.

Each canvas tent we produce is handcrafted by artisans who blend traditional skills with modern durability. The fabrics are chosen for their strength and weather resistance, while the designs are guided by centuries-old blueprints found in historic manuscripts and museum references.

From Viking Getelds to Medieval Pavilions, every stitch, rope, and pole carries a sense of purpose built not just to look beautiful, but to withstand real-world conditions at festivals, reenactments, or open-air events.

We're a small team based in England UK, with some work done here, others abroad, but our masters are spectacular made here in a small workshop factory, so our products are replicated to that same standard.

With years of experience in Reenactment, and old school LARPers, we've taken part in battles in UK, and decades of experience understanding historical accuracy, and the Importance of tents meeting historical Reenactment guidelines.

Examples being the usage of Veg Tan leather, and 100% cotton canvas, and Rope to a similar fashion.

As we trade at Multiple Reenactment events in UK and Europe, we "Know" the standards required, and any questions you can let us know! We've been to Wolin, we've been on the field at Hastings, and we understand different periods and different organisations have differing levels of standards and authenticity.

Film Work, as seen by our Articles, we've got 15 years of working in the film industry, working with big title companies like the BBC, HBO, Hallmark channel and more! Making props for Gaming companies, costumes, and as of late tents (So many tents!) we love new B2B challenges and adore working in the film industry so get in touch!

Our Craftsmanship – Where History Meets Quality

At the heart of our process lies a deep respect for craftsmanship. We work with high-quality canvas, reinforced stitching, and historically accurate designs that stay true to their roots while meeting today’s expectations for practicality and safety.

Each tent undergoes a detailed quality check to ensure durability against weather, wear, and time. The result? A collection of tents that can be used year after year without losing their authenticity or charm.
