Medieval Brigandine Armour — Leeds / Milan / Flanders Designs (Custom Build)

Brigandines were used from the 13th to 15th centuries across Europe and Asia, prized for their balance of protection and mobility. Our reproductions follow historical construction: overlapping steel plates riveted between layers of fabric or leather for a flexible yet impact-resistant body defence.

Construction & Materials

• Plates riveted through canvas cotton or leather, following period technique

• Fabric options: Wool, velvet, or canvas

• Leather options: Black or brown

• Colour options (fabric): Black, Grey, Dark Red, Green, Blue

Plate Thickness Choices

• Standard Reenactment Grade — 16g (~1.6 mm mild steel)

• 18g Stainless (most common) — strong, durable, low-maintenance

• Reinforced / Bohurt Grade — 2 mm spring steel or hardened stainless for maximum impact resistance

• Optional LARP build — aluminium plate for lighter wear

Sizing Guidance
If you typically wear size M (US/EU) shirts, order size L to accommodate a gambeson or maille underneath.
Custom sizing available for body types beyond standard XL–XXL.
